What if we have to live on mars?

What if we have to live on mars?

Welcome to the first blog of the new series What if and in this blog we are going to talk about what if we have to live on mars?

We all have heard stuff about water and air on mars but do we actually know what all the requirements to live on it. If you also want to know welcome to the blog.

So to live on mars we have to know about mars some basics about mars are -:

First thing first gravity will keep us on its surface so mars gravity is about 38% of earth's gravity in other words if you weigh about 80kgs then you will be about 30.4kgs on mars so we have to keep that in our mind and use our power accordingly.

Now talking about the atmosphere, The atmosphere up there is only 1% of the earth which consist of more than 95% of Carbon dioxide 3% Nitrogen and 1.3% of argon and also it has traces of Oxygen in its atmosphere and mars does not have ozone layer so it is useless to generate oxygen in its atmosphere. It is also not practically possible to wear an oxygen mask on mars every time

The solution for this is to create dome-like structures to establish cities or towns or societies on mars so that oxygen does not leave its surface.

Building a dome is not easy on mars. Mars rarely but catches the wind speed of 100kmph it also has dust storms which can damage the dome. So we have to build a dome strong enough to stand in storms.

Water basic need of humans is also present on mars but very less in the form of water vapor near its surface.

Transportation, Yes transportation is also one of the basic human needs, we have to use the electric vehicles on mars as we will be having limited oxygen and mars does not have much oxygen for combustion of fuels this will lead to slow performance of your vehicle, no matter how fast it is it will be slow on mars its useless to have a fuel-consuming vehicle on mars and it will also combust our valuable oxygen.

So let's talk about the side effects of living on mars

yep there are some side effects as well, first is we will always be fatigued since oxygen density is less

The second is about the health of upcoming generations since we all have habits or you can say our body has adopted the strengths according to earth environment and behavior but those who will born on mars their body will grow according to mars surrounding, so they will be weaker than an earthborn person.

So in the end, we have to go on mars after turning into adults or if someone has been born on mars one will be weaker than Earthers
